Okay but… are we gonna make fun of them for this? No, seriously, if they’re happy and nobody’s being hurt, what does it matter to any of us what they’re doing? Besides the sign, I mean.

Also, there isn’t even a way to tell if this is real. Sure, it could be, but chances are high someone took a picture of a couple that look kind of “white trash” from who knows where, and just used it to create outrage/superiority-circlejerk-bait.

Average folks don’t take a pic, edit it to make some text space on top and then write the whole story there. If this was like a Twitter/Facebook post with the text in the post caption then it would be more believable.

Alright I’m gonna try this hereditary math…

So these kids will have the same dad, making them at least half siblings.

Their moms are sisters making them first cousins.

So what are they like 3/4 siblings…?

No, it is a very unhealthy community that lies to outsiders trying to make it sound like the paradise it will never be.

There are so many layers to always have to peel with poly groups.

They are almost always young and it never lasts.

Just do yourself a favour and avoid those thought virus’.

I have zero interest in becoming poly, exploring the idea, etc. it doesn’t appeal to me at all. But from a sociological standpoint, it’s very interesting to me personally to consider the dynamics of those relationships and to understand how they can vary from person to person, group to group.

I don’t have any experience with that community but I promise you that painting with a broad brush like you’re doing is wrong. You don’t know this individual. You’re assuming the worst without ever engaging in conversation with them personally. Unless you do know this person in which case I apologize.

I go with normal expectations, and have enough experience to know, this is a good generality.

On an individual level this can change, but the main pattern persists outside of an individual basis

          the implied cheating

He got my sister pregnant first, now he’s mine

the implied having kids you can’t afford:
they are in front of a trailer home, usually not a sign of economic success leading to having multiple kids you can afford to raise through your own income. Also, grammatical errors.

not an obviously sound strategy for successful family building leading us to believe they were both accidents instead of planned family creation
Do you see many families being created by someone impregnating more than one sister at a time in a family? Are those stable family units creating loving homes for those kids?

We’ll compromise and say Florida panhandle, which is probably generally worse than either :)

While we used to call Panama City - LA, for lower Alabama I’d guess this is from Kentucky or Alabama. He’s wearing sleeves and sleeves are forbidden on men in the Panhandle

We used to call Panama City the “Redneck Riviera”, but I grew up in FL. The panhandle is most definitely closer to “Lower Alabama” in hindsight. Funny enough, we did call the other part of north Florida “South Georgia”.
