Does anyone else feel like ‘my brain-washing has been completed’ when they find themselves upvoting obscure loss menes?
My girlfriend told me i should ask: “who/what is loss?”
That’s the comic that forms the basis for the second part of the phrase. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_(Ctrl%2BAlt%2BDel)
But it’s legos in that format, so the joke is actually Lego Loss, as in Legolas the Lord of the Rings character.
Thank you. The amount of JPEG I couldn’t see they are legos and didn’t get it the actual joke.
Did you show this image to your girlfriend and ask her if she got the joke, only for her to give you this oblique reply? If so, that’s hilarious
Lego Loss
Shoulda made it outta Legolass minifigs.
Lego Legolass Loss.
But remove the bottom part of the figurine. So it’s legless lego legolas loss
if you didn’t use legos, would it be legoless legless legolas loss?

All I see is LEGOlas.
LEGOloss
Thank you. I didn’t understand it.

It’s pointing out the obvious all the way down.
Took me a second like “what does Lego have to do with loss… oh”
Same, but replace “…oh” with “…goddammit…”
I didnt even think lego had meaning, I immediately saw loss though
One round of jpg compression from being Borimir.
Internet anthropology is a real field
It seemed much cooler back when it was called cyber-anthropology. Second Life seemed like it was going to be much more important than it turned out to be, among other things.
All this needs is an amogus fella hidden in one of the blocks to add some more spice for future peoples
They meet Legolas, an Elven warrior who can’t hold his drink. He’s taking the place of his older brother, Armolas, who can’t hold his bow. Their younger brother, Arseolas, has already lost his seat on the council…
Look why is the 2x2 at a larger scale the the 4x2s
Perspective; the 2x2 is closer to you than the 2x4.
Is this less? Lass?
Well you see, one time a web comic guy who only knew one punchline decided to try to tell a sad story…
…with absolutely no context or lead up, leading to a massive tonal whiplash for the reader.
In his defence, it could have been good if it was a TV show or something. It just didnt work in webcomic form. Plenty of comedy shows have tried (and succeeded) to turn the sad on out of nowhere and suckerpunch the audience.
His audienthe mce already had a habit of trolling him. I remember the forums being particularly toxic. People fucking hated Tim Buckley well before he made a 4 panel comic about a miscarriage.
I didn’t mind Buckley’s art, but I was one of the people who bitched about B^U. Not on the forums tho, that shit was nuclear waste levels of toxic like you said.
I mean, Ethan found out Lilah was pregnant several weeks earlier. You don’t get a lot of warning for a miscarriage.
I know, I’ve been there. But a comic isn’t a baby, and it gets published on your schedule. I completely understand needing to process, but it’s no surprise it’s become a meme with the way it was presented.

Is this the scene where aragorn suffers the “loss” of a toe? Legos can be pretty brutal
Honestly my brain went to Elron for some reason
Ah, I think you’re thing of Elron Hubbard of Battlefield Middle Earth fame.
