Well, not anywhere in america. https://locations.wafflehouse.com/
lol, found the pedant! Entirely fair though, the title was more of a mood than factual.
Not really pedantry when it’s associated with a specific region of the US.
If you grew up in the Northeast or west coast you’ve likely never seen a waffle house.
I was gonna say… I grew up in CA. My first time eating Waffle House was in my 20’s on a trip to Florida with my college lacrosse team. It was across the street from the hotel, and was and still open when we stumbled in after a night of drinking. 10/10. Would recommend to drunk people.
Would recommend to drunk people
You have stumbled upon the gist of its appeal.
Mainly since I wanna try Waffle House but it isn’t in my state, or the next state, or the state next to that one.
It is simultaneously worth it and a complete letdown. Honestly the worse one you can find the better. We were the only ones there and hijacked the jukebox playing the worst songs we could find. we tipped well.
I lived in NW Atlanta near an intersection with Waffle Houses on two opposite corners. Glorious.
Sometimes I complain about the US, but then I hear heartwarming stories like this. And you know what? Fuck yes to catercorner Waffle Houses!
Drove from Baltimore to Atlanta. If my memory serves correct there were 37 visible from the highway. Moved out of Maryland and have never seen one since outside of a meme.
You must have moved to the west coast then. Certainly didn’t move anywhere near Atlanta if you’re not seeing Waffle Houses.

My nearest is two states away
My nearest is two states away
And on super early, calm Saturday mornings you can probably still hear the bullets whizzing by from the nearest one…
At least it makes it easy to find the people worth blocking.
Sorry that I wanted to enjoy a restaurant.
Not really pedantic, just pointing out you’re wrong…
Born and raised in an area with no Waffle House for hundreds of miles. I think I would have to go out of state and drive for several hours before coming close to one. They’re not everywhere in the US.
Yup. None in SoCal
Also, none in NorCal!
None in Nebraska either…
Since it’s a WaHo, I’d immediately guess this photo is in Georgia.
Correct longitude! Ohio in actuality.
Ohio🗿
(Am I doing this gen z thing correctly?)

Yep, But you forgot 🗣🔥

Technically, Vandalia, Ohio. But I really like the “anywhere-ness” feel of this image!
OK, how… unless you are one of those geoguesser nuts?
The street address (380) is visible in the picture. Google says there are only two Waffle Houses with a street address of 380, and the picture doesn’t match the one in Lebanon, Tennessee.
Actually, when the results first came up, the states weren’t in the list, just the towns, and for a moment I was delighted and hopeful this was a Waffle House in Lebanon, Kansas, which would’ve made this post a delicious layered piece of image+commentary!! [The “middle of America” is just outside Lebanon, Kansas.] But alas, the Lebanon Waffle House is in Tennessee, and this image isn’t even of that Waffle House, dashing my dreams of delicious and layered meta-imagery …
Currently at Waffle House. It’s a waffle home. 🖤
Waffle House found its Host
Now that is a skeleton crew, one employee.
Eerily similar feel as Nighthawks, except no customers and less focus on people so it feels even more desolate.
When asked why the diner in Nighthawks apparently has no entrance, Hopper was quoted as saying,
Shit— fuck! Not again! I knew I was missing a door somewhere! Oh, goddammit, this is so embarrassing!
Thanks, I hate it.
Yo I’m going to Waffle House in like half an hour. I’m pumped. Haven’t been there in years.
There’s always time for one more bad decision, lol.
a fighting arena, america
Double covered and chunked, baby.
Scattered well
Solid choice.
Based on the title, I thought it was going to be this. (Not that a Waffle House wouldn’t be right at home there)
Having never seen or heard of Waffle House, I found myself scrutinizing this photo for evidence that it was AI generated.
The internet has broken me.
To be fair Waffle House’s aren’t to off from AI fever dreams IRL.
Especially when most people only go at like 3am
Getting strong liminal vibes from this
Does it have a fear hole tho?
I feel kinda cheated that we didn’t get to see Rick’s fear. Maybe it would have been happiness, but that was just speculation on Morty’s mind’s part.
I adore Waffle House, this scene is beautiful.
Do fights actually break out at these things or is it a meme?
Explain like I’m a foreigner.
They’re open pretty much all the time and don’t close at night, so naturally drunks and other rowdy folk congregate there. Prime time for fights to break out over silly minor things, which often turn physical. There’s a reason most restaurants shut their dining rooms down by midnight.
Do they also have like kebab/swarma places that are open 24/7? Where I live drunk people always seem to want to eat something like that.
Can’t imagine getting drunk and thinks let’s get a waffle.
You don’t go to waffle House for waffles. The bloodhound gang didn’t sing about waffles.
“Want you smothered, want you covered like waffle House hash browns”
Dunno about you but I’ve never not crashed hash browns while hammered
Oh they do all breakfast foods. Get bacon and eggs or some other fried something if you want.
Also, I’m the kinda person that gets drunk and eats waffles
In New Jersey we have 24/7 diners. You can get breakfast or a burger, or whatever you want basically. Don’t knock a 2 AM drunken pancake until you’ve tried it!
