Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has joked about body slamming Vice-President Kamala Harris in front of a fired up crowd, and questioned her racial identity.

“Do you want me to drop the leg on Kamala?!” he shouts, referring to one of his iconic wrestling moves.

Hogan continued to make more comments about Ms Harris including one about her Indian heritage.

Kamala Harris is bi-racial - her mother was from India and her father is Jamaican.

“Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian?” Hogan asked the crowd, before using an outdated and stereotypical greeting associated with Native American Indians.

The video stops after he could be heard saying he “was going to get heat for that one”.

I never watched wrestling, but Andre seemed like a nice guy when I heard about him on the vince mcmahon behind the bastards. Hulk sounded like he sucked.

My dad used to run into him regularly when he worked as airport security in the 70s. He was a fantastic kind man with an incredible sense of humor. My dad had lots of good stories about him that he used to tell me about. So, another data point to back up your thinking.

I’ve never been a fan of wrestling but I loved Andre. From everything I’ve seen and heard, he was the nicest guy you could hope to meet. There are some great stories about him out there too. There’s video of Arnold Schwarzenegger talking about a time when he and Andre were arguing over who would pay the check at a restaurant and Andre literally picked Arnold up and put him on a piece of furniture. And another similar occasion with Andre and Wilt Chamberlain. The Cary Elwes book, As You Wish, about the making of The Princess Bride has a lot of stories about Andre from the cast too. It’s well worth the read if you’re a fan of the movie.

Never meet your heroes - former hulkamaniac

I was never much of a Hulkamanic, but I was a huge fan of the Ultimate Warrior who turned out to be a huge decroded piece of crap too. My all time favorite though was always Rowdy Roddy, and my second favorite was Da Maniac, but the one time I met him he kept calling me the N-word and gave me a bucket of acorns.

Is there any context to this? I’m genuinely curious.

Me and some friends were looking for a way to give back to the troops. So we decided to do a big wrestling thing. We got a hold of a local legend in the wrestling scene named Da Maniac. We were getting all the details ironed out for the show and he kept calling me the N-word. He also started to autograph parking tickets and tried giving them to us, plus it looked like he was living in his station wagon. He ended up getting arrested right before the show, so we had to do our own thing. We tried this whole eagle/bird of prey tag team thing. But I think we came off more like pigeons than as eagles. But we got another friend from school to wrestle against us. He showed up in this racist Arab costume and called himself the tali-bum (he was homeless at the time).
