The vocal components are loud but donāt let them speak for everyone. Pence was a special candidate. He had a legitimate following. Vance might be able to get the GOP vote but heās not getting the Christian vote like Pence was able to represent.
Iām not sure Trump needs that kind of supporting appeal this time around. He survived an assassination attempt - to his religious followers, that is divine providence.

Trump picked Pence to shore up the evangelical vote. Vance was chosen to shore up the Nazi vote. Easy peasey.
