    The Terminator (1) is criminally overlooked. Go watch it if you haven’t seen it.

          it’s more memorable and had insane scenes, and CGI that holds up to this day. i would argue it is deserved.

          also people don’t think about it but t800 turning out to be friendly was a great reveal (if you weren’t spoiled by the trailer).

            I like how half the people are saying T1 isn’t overlooked (compared to T2), and the other half are saying T2 deservedly gets all the attention. And no one gets the irony.

              There is no irony. T1 is not overlooked. T2 gets more attention because it’s a better movie. We still acknowledge that T1 is a great movie.

              i mean yeah, those are different people. i agree that t1 is underrated but that’s what my comment was about: if t2 wasn’t such a banger t1 would’ve been in a much better spot in our collective sci-fi memory.

                I said overlooked, not underrated.

                And the point is half the people say 'it’s so obviously not overlooked!" and the other half say “it’s obviously overlooked for good reasons!” And they can’t see the other comment. The irony is palpable.
