Way late, but Ori and the Blind Forest. Massive Metroid fan, was disappointed in how clunky Hollow Knight’s movement felt. But Ori is definitely scratching that fluid-movement itch.
Also, watching my wife play Ocarina of Time for the first time. Pure bliss
Did you finish hollow knight? Not wanting to spoil anything but the movement gets significantly more fluid and flexible along the way. I had the same complaint about Bloodstained though, and I never could into it enough to grind past it, so I get the being put off part too.
I did not finish it, no. I’ve tried twice to play past the first couple hours and failed both times. Maybe when I’m out of metroidvania games to play I will return and give it another go. Thanks for the info though!
