Well… At least watching the robber barons rip each other apart may be mildly entertaining. It’s like the WWF goes to Capitol Hill.

The problem is that one of them will end up on top at the end still.

I hope Musk drops out though. Because with the e-mail he sent to all the FBI employees he is making some serious enemies right now. The moment he loses protection, he will be thoroughly investigated and I can’t wait to see the long list of things that will be uncovered.

that’s a good point. Musk has pissed everyone in the government off. I imagine that many of those sympathetic to Musk in the regulatory and law enforcement agencies don’t appreciate the ways in which he’s inserted himself in this conflagration and his immensely heavy handed approaches.

US military contractors get away with genocide. He won’t be Investigated as long as Tesla or SpaceX holds contracts.

Them fighting each other also give them less time to do horrible things. Yes, they will still do some bad things while they fight, but it takes up some of their time and hurts their sense of unity. It reduces the damage a bit. It also inspires other outside the government to fight back too

Every little bit of delay and harm reduction is something we’re going to need

EDIT: also worth mentioning that now other agencies are also pushing against musk now that Patel is. Resistance is often something that spreads once it is normalized
