That’s just a guess from me, but since the UK has a domestic nuclear weapons programme, it would make a lot of sense to them to develop their own bombs and equip their own aircraft for dropping them.
A different part of the UK’s nuclear deterrent is awfully US dependent, though, they chose US made Trident ballistic missiles as carrier system for their submarine launched strategic warheads.
The difference is mainly that the UK has their own nuclear warheads, so adapting a plane that’s partially manufactured by them to those bombs is a pretty straightforward task that doesn’t require sharing of secrets with an increasingly hostile “ally”.
That’s what you get for buying highly complex equipment from allies so unreliable they might qualify as enemies.
Because freedom of trade with the EU always comes as a package deal with freedom of movement, which the xenophobes in London find unacceptable.
Thanks to every major party having made austerity some kind of state religion, the axe has been taken to the entire education system numerous times in the past 5 decades. Also, the famed post WW2 denazification, especially in the administration, has been largely a sad joke. Coincidentally one of the more radical prominent figures in the AfD, a certain Mr Höcke, who, by court verdict, can be legally called a fascist, is a history teacher of all Things.
That’s exactly what I meant by “different reality”. They are spoon fed their “news” and “information” by US and Chinese disinformation platforms AKA “social media”. And by German papers and TV cannels owned by the Axel Springer Corporation, which is pretty much the German equivalent to Rupert Murdoch’s media conglomerate.
Their voters live in a different reality by now. Likely it won’t be damaging at all.
And again, a bunch of traitors waving the banner of patriotism. It’s as pathetic as it is predictable.
But what should we do with the toxic byproducts of this kind of energy production?
If he had decency he would now self-expel.
Mentioning Merz and Decency in the same sentence is such grave violation of all laws of logic and human decency that it makes me want to violently expel my stomach’s contents.
Merz is a pathological liar (even more so than the usual politicians), he also has categorically denied cooperating with the AfD and even threatened anyone in the CDU to do so with expulsion from the party, only a few weeks before cooperating with them himself.
If he tells you that the sun is shining outside, better bring an umbrella and a flashlight, because most likely you’ll actually find pitch black night and pouring rain.
If German politicians behaved like adult human beings, and did, as they are supposed to, work for the good of the entire country, then, this would work. The problem is that they don’t, most of the time.
