Outer Worlds is way closer to a Fallout spiritual sequel (or beat Starfield to the punch) than an Elder Scrolls game.
Did they ever fix the reputation system? I managed to instantly piss off an entire city while I was in the middle of it because I accumulated one too many “We don’t like you” points in the middle of a quest. Completely ruined my immersion and was a hard stop for me.
I also don’t buy his take that the game started development in 2016, this is what was big culturally in 2016, and the team just retreated into a bunker until launch and didn’t have any way to course correct.
That’s not how game development works. I guarantee the headcount for this project didn’t peak in 2016 and stay steady. This was a low-priority item on a few people’s kanban boards for a couple years, probably had multiple starts, dead-ends, and reinventions.
I have to think Sony saw the writing on the wall, pushed the project out the door because they didn’t think it would get any better barring significant reinvestment, and braced for the impact. I credit them just a tiny bit for not writing it off on their taxes and canning the project like Hollywood has been doing lately.
Yeah, it sucks. I still think we have a better shot at pressuring her to take a harder stance on Israel while in office than Trump, so I’m still gonna vote for her.
Imagine 12 2-liters of soda. It’s a lot.
I don’t have downvote arrows in either my browser or Jerboa on Android.
I disagree. There is no ignoring Trump between now and the election. If the Dems stop now, then the only messaging out there will be GOP messaging which can put a spin on his hissy fits and work to salve his ego.
He’s a weirdo and we shouldn’t let anyone forget it (until it’s time to forget him).
Fair points, but I can’t participate in this thread because I’m on an instance that doesn’t allow down votes. The up vote solution is at least a bit more inclusive
It would be difficult as long as we continue to use partisan district maps drawn by said congress. And it will be difficult to replace those partisan district maps as the partisan state Supreme Court ruled that partisan gerrymandering isn’t illegal. And it will be difficult to challenge the state Supreme Court because the US Supreme Court said state gerrymandering cases could not be heard in Federal courts.
Some very smart people (ie, not Trump) have been plotting this shit for decades. Everything they can do to disenfranchise the people who don’t think, look, or fuck like they do.
(All said, still gonna vote Blue in November. Not because I’m a Democrat, but because I’m not an asshole.)
I don’t think many adult games can afford mocap though. Typically the adult content is purely animated models.
People do tend to look pretty similar when they’re trying to stay as far away from you as possible.

And their source is pulled from an NYT article, so they add absolutely nothing.
Indeed, Mr. Trump has often been in a foul mood the past few weeks. He has ranted about Ms. Harris. He has called her “nasty,” on “Fox & Friends,” and a “bitch,” repeatedly, in private, according to two people who heard the remark on different occasions.
Dumb American here. Is this the definition of harpic that you’re using here? I’ve never seen the word before and outside of UD, the only search result I was getting was for a UK toilet bowl cleaner.
While queue grammatically works at the beginning of your sentence, if you spoke it aloud, a native English speaker would interpret the sentence as beginning with “cue”.
ie, “This comment will trigger (cue) some Trump word salad…”
vs
“After this comment, Trump will prepare a series (queue) of Trump word salad…”
Exactly. It’s all of the quiet parts, but out loud, typed out, indexed, and easily accessible.
…Irish car bombs have Bailey’s Irish Cream and possibly coffee liqueur in them. Many people would say that’s a pretty sweet drink.
You sure you’re not thinking of an Irish Boilermaker? That’s just a beer with Irish whiskey.
Yeah, I just set it up because I don’t want Meta’s shit on my phone and my friend group insists on using WhatsApp. I still had to install the native WhatsApp client but I was able to remove it as soon as I had confirmed the account creation. It also means I can stop giving out my cell number when I want to meet someone from Facebook Marketplace to buy something.
They advise against removing the apps on your phone, but at the least, you can turn off notifications for everything other than Beeper and use it as a single interface. On the desktop app, it makes a bit more sense. I’ve stopped running the Telegram, Signal, and Google Chat apps. I just wish Google Voice played nice with integrations and could be added to the platform.
Do bans typically only affect the multiplayer portion of a game? I could see my nephew fucking around and finding out with one of my games. I never play competitive multiplayer, but if I got locked out of the game completely, I’d be pretty cross with him.
That’s one you can choose. I’ve always stuck with the classic First in Flight. Way too many In God We Trust driving around though
