Try Smarttube, it’s a joy to use.
I use SmartTube on my android TV and it’s great. If you can find an android TV box that doesn’t come with malware preinstalled or get android running on the pi, I highly recommend it.
Excel is a problem since it changes constantly and relies so much on the mouse. I’m a developer and struggle every time I’m forced to use it.
Search engines have also gotten terrible over the last few years so it’s a pretty bad time to learn how to use a computer. Old videos from the 90s and 2000s are great to learn the basics, but unfortunately you can’t really follow along.
Paid courses for the basics of MS office exist, maybe you’ll be able to find one that starts from zero and teaches the basics of using a computer at all.
There’s a solution: Charge the customer once for the hardware and then add a monthly fee to be able to use all of it. Sony and Microsoft have great success with that.
Because it’s microsoft.
Linux is great, I switched all my personal machines because I was fed up with all the crap they do.
And what can I say? It’s just a better OS. The only reason to still use windows is because of software that’s made for it and doesn’t run well on linux yet.
Sounds like microsoft changed the danish layout.
The behaviour you want is called “dead keys” and the layout knows which keys should work like that.
If you want the old behaviour back, you need to do the following: Download MSKLC (Microsoft keyboard layout creator) from microsoft’s website, install and open it and then go to File->Load existing layout and then select the danish one.
Then double click the accent key to open the popup, which includes a checkbox to make it a dead key.
Then compile and install the layout. I don’t remember where exactly that button is but you’ll find it. If it doesn’t work first try, make sure that you change the name of the layout on the second try. Windows is a buggy mess and if you reuse names, it will break sooner or later and you’ll find yourself with layouts that cannot be removed anymore.
You can also set a few other things in the layout like shiftlock, but as I said windows is a buggy mess so doing that will almost certainly break something.
You’re storing unencrypted data on google drive with those backups, so they scan all of your chats. Whether they just look for malware/CSAM or people manually look through your chats is something you’ll never know.
Looks great, but I get a lot of SSL errors without real tine downloading and one every 5 or so songs with it.
It’ll take a week or two to download 3000 songs, but running it periodically after that should be fine.
Sounds like a good idea. Zotify keeps throwing meter-long stacktraces at me about SSL errors that I assume are API rate limits because there’s less of them when I use real-time downloading.
Maybe it’s even a nice project for an android app because zotify doesn’t run there yet.
I’d expect a developer to understand that. A stack trace works the exact same way.
I use bluetooth headphones, 300kbps is enough.
Does CGNAT protect from ISP letters?
Because for all the pain it causes me, it should at least be useful for something
But what browser do we use then?
I have DSlite on my home internet connection, which makes DDNS pretty much impossible. OP should check for that.
DDNS is only required for when you want to share it with other people. For accessing your own stuff from anywhere, there’s tailscale. I set aside 30 minutes to read into it and set it up, but found myself with a working VPN between my phone and PC after just 3 minutes. And it’s completely free for this use case.
I’d recommend against Sony IEMs. I know multiple people who got theirs replaced under warranty (WF-1000XM4 and 5), one of them twice. They tend to not last for very long.
I have some WH-1000XM4 over-ears and they’re not terrible, but not worth the money either. They need an equalizer to sound decent.
But before you buy anything: Can you wear IEMs comfortably for a long time? I got some weirdly shaped ears and horrible earwax, so I don’t bother with those at all.
I still have a Wii with a custom launcher and a hard drive full of games lying around. I should use it again, there isn’t another game quite like excite truck.
The end has always justified the means, you just don’t say it out loud anymore.
It doesn’t get too much better if you just add more parties. What you need is a robust protection against corruption.
That’s mostly politics as well.
