  • Nice!

I grew up playing everything from the NES onwards. Very fond memories of the SNES and N64. Lots and lots and lots of PlayStation! I didn’t actually get a computer until I was in my double digits, and I’ve been addicted ever since. The original Morrowind has probably stolen more hours of my life than anything else.

My friend and I used to stay up at night and play Doom (also Duke Nukem 3D), completely terrified lol. I haven’t played Knights and Mercenaries or Ceasar, but lots of Command & Conquer (which I am admittedly not very good at lol.)

  • Hello! I tried to reply on mobile, but it ate my response!

We’re in the same neighborhood! Isn’t it funny how those crusty arcade carpets come back to haunt our memories fondly? I’m sure in some way they live on, given how many new and terrifying bacterial cultures probably developed in those things lol.

Building an arcade sounds so cool! We’ve been using the MiSTer FPGA hardware to faithfully simulate retro games, here. Even got some 8bitdoo arcade-style controllers and customized them with nice SANWA(?) buttons and sticks! Unfortunately, I’m not the most tech savvy or knowledgeable of the pair, but I do my best!

Are you going to be making cabinets or just doing your own thing? Really curious to hear more about it!

I never liked beer, growing up. That being said, I never cared for liquor either. I cannot stand the bitterness, or the heavy carbonation.

I tried all sorts of good beers, bad beers, etc and simply never understood the point. I had/have no desire to be drunk or in any sort of altered mood, so there was no incentive for me.

In recent years (idk maybe because I’m getting old lol) I started to casually try beer here and there with friends and such, at outtings and such.

What I discovered is I do not like “beer” as a whole, but there are specific beers I really enjoy. There’s maybe only 2-3 beers out of the hundreds I’ve tried which I find taste good, and actively will enjoy.
