  • I’m amazed that you think Ricciardo is performing at an equal level as Tsunoda. Then I checked and it seemed for the last 5 races or so Ricciardo finished higher. Quite surprising, I basically wrote Ricciardo off ages ago!

Anyway, Ricciardo had it difficult after not being able to perform in McLaren. Not exactly sure if he’s able to handle pressure still. Finishing slightly better than Tsunoda for a few races isn’t that impressive to me.

Putting Lawson directly in the Red Bull is probably too much of a risk

    Agreed.

Quite curious as to what is going to happen. There’s (was?) a power struggle in Red Bull, seems different people there have different drivers as their preference. They seem to be stubborn.

  • Buddy, stop. I’m not here to get into a semantic argument with you. Chill out. This is part of my reply.

If you don’t want replies, why reply yourself?

And I responded to that part. You say that he’s a leader. Without saying why.

You haven’t explained yourself, then you continue to not explain yourself. You mention you don’t want to get into semantics, then quote something you said before. Meaning, you don’t want a discussion, and then by qouting it’s you who continues discussing.

Up to now I’ve explained why a driver isn’t automatically a leader. But I haven’t seen any explanation of your reasoning. It comes over as assertions.

Anyway, take Lewis. He used to lead the team. That doesn’t mean that any driver is a leader. Nor that Lewis always leads or is always a leader. Mercedes completely ignored his input about the drivability of the car for multiple years. In a recent podcast Mercedes mentioned that overlooked something about their car for multiple years. In all of those years they’ve been ignoring Lewis.

Max isn’t automatically a leader, same for Lewis.

Or in another way, that an apple is a fruit doesn’t imply that all fruits are apples.

  • It felt more like complete frustration of a strategy that he said would be terrible before the race even started. Then it turned out to be terrible, then your team argues for the terrible strategy.

Max is hot heated, but why add fuel to that fire? Those radio responses, great way to get an angrier racing driver.

Even in this race some drivers got heated, then their racing engineer calmed them down. E.g. “yeah you made your point, now let’s focus on the race” or something.
