My only complaint is not enough people commenting on / interacting with posts. I’m guilty of it myself (I was also mostly a lurker on Reddit) so I’m not trying to blame anyone but Lemmy often feels like a ghost town.

I definitely can’t say that it won’t. It’s just what works best for me now until that does happen or a better solution comes along.

Google’s search results have definitely declined in recent years. It’s why I’ve mostly been using Perplexity for searching now.

Kobo is the only other manufacturer I know of that gets fairly good reviews. Do Boox devices really fail that much? I haven’t heard that.

The irony of this post is the fact that Reddit’s new API policy will literally make such an extension pointless starting in July. People should just….not post on Reddit…

Do we really think there’s going to be that many more users joining once the API policy goes into effect? I feel like most people who were going to leave Reddit have already left. Idk, I could be wrong. But why would people be back there if they’re just going to leave in July?

I doubt anyone would care if you did that, but it does sound like you’d get more use out of joining https://kbin.social/. They are part of the federated universe and have a dedicated microblog section.

1. Because I live in the United States where public transportation sucks. Although where I live, Portland, it is amongst one of the better cities.
2. I have a kid that I need to drop off at daycare, school, various activities and having my own car is far more convenient for that than public transportation.
3. And related to point 2., I don’t have time to rely on and follow a bus schedule.

If losing third party apps ruins your reddit experience (oh no) just find another app or website.
