The problem was Nintendo charged publishers more money for the larger carts. So a lot of publishers simply took the option of the smallest cheaper cards and made you download the rest.

Trying to preserve Switch games by buying the carts has been a bit pointless really. I know Diablo 3 was entirely on the cart, publishers were very pleased with that.

Back in the early 90s, here in the UK, a company called Cheetah produced licensed joysticks based on Batman, Terminator, Alien³ and The Simpsons. They looked great but they were terrible to use, especially the Alien³ model which I really liked but was incredibly uncomfortable. I never bought one, just tried then on the shops, awful things.

Back in the day, I bought the official Xbox360 steering wheel. It made me laugh because it was called wireless. It was only wireless between itself and the Xbox. It still needed a power brick to drive the motor and another wire to connect it to the pedals.

When I sold it, I almost made my money back because it was in high demand. MS had replaced it with that awful U shaped steering wheel that you held in the air like a Wii controller. It used sensors to tell when it was tilted. I never used one but the reviews weren’t favourable as I remember.

That’s a lovely build. I like the way you built the engine with opposing stud work. That kind of build technique always amazes me. When I started playing with Lego back in the late 70s, it was always bricks right way up. I build sets now, like the Delorean and ECTO1, and pieces are facing in all kinds of directions! 😄

As a child of the late 70s/ early 80s, we never had brick separators. The majority of my bricks had teeth marks! 😁

A new, updated one wouldn’t go amiss. It would certainly be a way for me to throw a little more cash, Lego’s way.

Lego released a minifig version back in 2014, if that’s what you mean?

I like the minifigs, but not impressed with the tree.

Considering LEGO have made pretty much every other Batmobile, I’m surprised this isn’t on their list.

I don’t think they have their open official app but they offer their API free to developers I think.

I’m on Android and I’ve been through several TMDB apps but I don’t really like any of them. I do know that Letterboxd use their API as well but that’s a more social based thing.

If you like NewPipe but want your videos to skip the annoying bits, there’s a fork called Tubular that incorporates SponsorBlock.

Personally, I’m not a fan but it’s like all art. Some people like it, others don’t. It’s like the wall art version of Spiderman which I think just looks a little odd, but there’s obviously a market for these kind of sets.

I don’t get a lot of Lego, so I’m often surprised by new pieces. The one that surprised me with this set was a 2x2 flat piece that had a technic bolt on the bottom.

There’s three of those holding on the sloped front ends on either side, clicking into the technic brick substructure.

The shadow box is lovely and way out of my price range. 😄

I used to have a clone of the technic Lego Batpod but it was rather fragile and I lost pieces so I binned it.

Although, I’ve just recently got a MOC Batpod which a minifig can ride.

If Lego released the animated version of the Batmobile, that would probably do me.

I don’t have the money or a house big enough unfortunately. I nearly bid on the older UCS version today on eBay. It was missing several easily replaceable parts on the front right hand side by the wheel but I decided not to.

I’m happy with my minifig collection of film vehicles.
