The Day Before only made it 4 days.
On 11 December, four days after The Day Before launched to widespread criticism, Fntastic announced their closure, stating that as their game had “failed financially” they could not afford to continue operating. The Day Before was removed from sale on Steam later that day.
I don’t see why the election should have anything to do with the sentencing, or when it takes place. This was interference in the 2016 election (and calling it his “hush money” trial is a great way for the media to “both sides” this whole thing). He should be sentenced now, and if that means he continues his run for office from a jail cell waiting on his appeal it should have been expected (and is of course why he announced so early). If he wins then we have just moved the goal posts to sentencing a running candidate to sentencing the President-elect, which you know the Supreme Court is going to do absolutely everything in their power to say he is then immune to all sentencing. He then becomes a dictator, gets all his cases removed, and puts his flying monkeys into motion for retribution and Project 2025.
The whole system being afraid to hold Trump accountable for crimes (in this case he has already been found guilty of them), makes this more political by trying to maintain this nonsense of dealing with everything he does in bad faith with kid gloves to maintain a “non-political” look. He should be treated like any other citizen found guilty of 34 felonies, his political life should play no part in his sentencing, and the fact that is not the case just goes to show how we have a 2 tier justice system.
And tax write-off sink holes, as he loves to over-value for loans and then under value for tax breaks (ex. - what he did in NY and is currently appealing the judgement against him). And losses would lower that tax burden even further.
Yeah I didn’t mean to suggest going as far as shutting any of the platforms down, but they shouldn’t be able to game their algorithms to push hate speech and conspiracy theories while suppressing facts. Unless they wanted to put a disclaimer under every use of said algorithm stating such. Although, at least in the US, hate speech isn’t always protected speech.

We should also be looking harder at platforms like Facebook and Twitter that have relaxed, or in the case of Musk with Twitter, outright removed the people in charge of making sure that their platforms aren’t just disinformation fire hoses spewing shit all over the place. When we have millions of people that are part of a cult, or just lack any critical thinking ability, the last thing we need as a society is these large platforms designed to just put the worst conspiracy/hate/*phobic stuff in front of as many eyeballs as possible.
When does Ginni get an indictment? Just because she is the spouse of a Supreme Court Justice shouldn’t put her above the law. She helped fuel the insurrection, and now this clear corruption with a law firm that pushes shit before her husband and his other conspirators, trying to rewrite the “interpretation” of the constitution one bad faith case at a time.

UPDATE (Aug. 30, 2024, 5:58 p.m. ET): On Friday, an entry on the federal court docket told Donald Trump’s lawyers that their filing attempting to move Trump’s state criminal case to federal court was deficient, noting that it did not include the opposing party’s consent or the court’s leave to file, which, the docket entry noted, the court had not granted.
Wasn’t this already settled? Trump’s lawyer filed the wrong paperwork and did not follow the correct process so the federal judge just said “nope”, and the case stays in NY.
I mean he did know he wanted to find a woman into dolphins because both were highlighted showing they were his search terms.
In his book he told his grandma he thought he was gay and she asked him if he likes “sucking dicks”, and he said “no”, so she told him he wasn’t gay.
So no doubt he has some repressed feelings.
Edit - This of course could have been when he discovered he was into couches and dolphin porn.
They had spoken to someone in his circle and explained the rules, and I’m sure they were assured they understood, so I don’t think it was until Trump and posse arrived at the cemetery they knew his campaign planned to go rouge. And again, you should be able to trust that a former US President of all people should be expected to follow the rules when visiting a cemetery for fallen soldiers.
Hind sight is also 20/20, and I don’t think anyone that day was expecting a former President to show up to Arlington to make a seen, and have campaign staff assault cemetery staff.
He is giving insurance companies the choice, and for that reason they are going to pass.
He is going to bundle it with infrastructure week!
Why should a cemetery for fallen soldiers NEED to make sure a former President of the United States isn’t coming to the cemetery with his campaign to do a photoshoot they were specifically told in advance was not permitted (and was illegal)? Why should the burden of Trump following the law be on cemetery staff?
And he broke the law and had photographic and video evidence to prove it, so why doesn’t law enforcement stop treating these chuds like they are above the law and arrest them and let them make their case in court.
It was his campaign staff doing the assault, but you think their dear leader was just chilling in the car or something while this woman stepped in to shut down the illegal photoshoot happening? It was his campaign staff there illegally, I think that puts him on the hook for this.
In 4 years I’m not sure he’ll be able to put together a sentence, let alone run for office again. His cognitive decline is accelerating with more slurring (both kinds), and just freezing mid-word and pivoting to some other thought because he can’t say or finish the word he wanted.
It will be interesting if the debate will have better mics than his iPhone to get his “perfect audio” that doesn’t make him sound like he forgot to put his teeth in like his “interview” with Musk. =)
They had already talked to the cemetery and set up the visit and the rules were given to him (or his handlers) at that time. He (they ) were told it was just to be a personal visit with whatever handlers he required (ex.- secret service) but that campaign staff and photos/video was strictly forbidden. So him showing up with his campaign posse looking to do a photo op was something they already knew ahead of time was not allowed.

As does the system of nothing happening to people like Trump, while also allowing him to use his platform to target his cult on his new “enemy”. We need a system that will treat a former president accused of assault the same way the cops would respond to an alleged assault with a minority involved.
Until the system is actually going to work for the victim instead of caring about the optics of the assailant (or their “help”), I don’t blame this woman for not wanting to put a target on herself for just doing her job and protecting the privacy/dignity of fallen soldiers and their families.
Or they are some of the many people Trump’s campaign pays to attend. It’s not an accident that if anyone of color can be found at a Trump rally, that they are just behind Trump where they would be in the TV frame when any clip of his word salad “speech” is played back.
