be sure to make generous use of ‘-’ terms as seen in my search string to filter out the giant wad of irrelevant/useless results that’ll come up, and read the recent/seller feedback for the sellers you are considering doing business with and stay away from single digit feedback sellers with pricing that is far cheaper than expected for the item - (e.g. a $150 brand-new RTX 3080 from a seller with a feedback score of 5 is very unlikely to be legit 🫥) and you should find what you are looking for. This is the way. Win is already activated, no need to pirate anything. Just get a >= 8gb flash drive, download the installer creator app from Microsoft, and reinstall Windows. It will activate based on the licensing level the machine came with, minus the crapware, which is from the manufacturer’s OS image, not Microsoft’s.

Sounds like your car did not defeat you, and like you kicked a lot of ass. Serpentine belts are a giant pain in the ass - fought with one myself today. Just gotta have the right tool, which in this case is one of those that gets used once every 5 years unless you work on a lot of cars. You did great, and should be proud of what you accomplished!

There are a handful of gardening sites that sell the egg cases, called ooths. I got mine from Hirt’s Gardens - needed to get a native mantis type so as not to introduce a non-native species to my area.

Got them specifically for natural pest control. Hopefully they come back next year like the sunflowers did - guess we’ll see!

That is actually a Sunflower! My wife has been planting them over the last 3 years or so and this year they’re upwards of 15 feet tall.

All of the neighborhood small animals are converging to eat the flowers, and the dogs are eating whatever the squirrels happen to drop.

Seconding NVME with an enclosure. These don’t take up a lot of physical space and they’re fast. I just got a 1TB Samsung that was a return from Amazon for $38. Worked perfectly. In the US the 2TBs can be had for around $120.

You’re going to need to figure out what your storage needs are before you can choose a drive - 10 year’s worth isn’t very quantifiable in data storage terms. Find out the size in gigabytes of your image directory(ies) and then go for half again to double the storage capacity. Storage is cheap and you can never have too much!
