5 months agoDepending on the Switch in question (I.e. is it a V1 switch) you can soft mod it - firmware level doesn’t matter). The first thing you should do is check your serial number with a tool like https://ismyswitchpatched.com/ . If that comes back with “Your console is not patched. Hooray!” then your switch is soft mod compatible. If your switch is not compatible then you are stuck with a mod chip most likely.
As a slight adjacent - our toddler threw my wife’s s3 from our balcony onto the concrete driveway - it flew then scraped down the hill. Picked it up, not only did it still work other than some cosmetic damage there were no screen cracks or anything. Whats worse is the kiddo managed to do it a second time, and to this day that phone still works and its screen remains crack free. Don’t make em like they used to!
