Give me actual long-term scientific studies that say cats can go vegan and we can talk. Otherwise, we’re done.

It doesn’t work. No study shows it does, save for a few poorly-done ones paid for by vegan think-tanks, and even those are ambiguous. Maybe one day we will manage it, but right now we can’t.

The problem here is they need specific molecules. A vegan diet does not give cats those correct necessary molecules.

Putting oxygen in a tank is necessary for the health of the fish. Feeding a cat meat is necessary for the health of the cat.

There is no workaround for oxygenating fish tanks; we don’t find something that ‘might work as well as oxygen’ according to poorly done studies. We just give them oxygen, the thing they actually need to live.

A depressing amount of people have a combination of ‘don’t rock the boat’ mentality and a belief that since something doesn’t/won’t affect them, then it doesn’t matter.

Probably because it used to be that being ostracized from our towns/clans/whathaveyou was basically a death sentence.

Getting criticized for something could potentially lead to the town/your family driving you out. Either through the people listening to the complaints deciding you weren’t ‘good’ for the town, or others dogpiling on with their own complaints, real or imagined.

You have to remember, there were bandits, wild animals, and deadly weather outside the protection of our small groups. And that’s assuming you got to survive the ostracizing in the first place.

The Bible gives a rather chilling example: if your kid is disobedient or troublesome, drag them to the front of the town and loudly criticize their behavior. Then, it is the moral imperative of the town to assist you in stoning your kid to death.

With things like that being a social norm, is it any wonder we developed a fear of criticism?

Of course, they’ve decided that old white guys are the ones who should always be on the top of the pyramid, and enjoy all the benefits of society without owing anyone anything.

It’s why they love racist rhetoric; they’re always looking for some justification for them being higher up on the pyramid—which means, by default, more people need to be below them. With the magic of racism, they don’t need accomplishments or even money to achieve higher levels! Skin color alone bumps them up the ranks.
