At this point does it matter? I think not!

Uh oh… what did they do to Mr Rogers?
I do. Currently I use it mostly for personal stuff as part of my time spent on production support. Importing data from queries, exporting spreadsheets, reading complex json data and extracting needed info, etc. In the past when I was on DevOps used it with Jenkins and various automation processes, and I’ve used it as a developer to create test environments and test data.
As a long-time bash, awk and sed scripter who knows he’ll probably get downvoted into oblivion for this my recommendation: learn PowerShell
It’s open-source and completely cross-platform - I use it on Macs, Linux and Windows machines - and you don’t know what you’re missing until you try a fully objected-oriented scripting language and shell. No more parsing text, built-in support for scalars, arrays, hash maps/associative arrays, and more complex types like version numbers, IP addresses, synchronized dictionaries and basically anything available in .Net. Read and write csv, json and xml natively and simply. Built-in support for regular expressions throughout, web service calls, remote script execution, and parallel and asynchronous jobs and lots and lots of libraries for all kinds of things.
Seriously, I know its popular and often-deserved to hate on Microsoft but PowerShell is a kick-ass, cross-platform, open-source, modern shell done right, even if it does have a dumb name imo. Once you start learning it you won’t want to go back to any other.
I believe you’re misstating one thing if I remember the law last time I read it: It is a felony to knowingly sell a firearm to prohibited persons.
If you aren’t bound to the FFL requirements you are not obligated to ask if the person is in anyway prohibited from buying a firearm, and what you don’t know or ask keeps you free from jeopardy.
Yeah, but if a Democrat had done it the percentage who thought it was justified would be a lot lower.
Oil and gas collapsed because of reduced demand from the pandemic and Putin refusing to cut production so he could tank US oil. Oil isnt likely to collapse again anytime soon.
Thanks for sharing that. It was terrible and depressing read, 5½ years in the future.
I takes abject poverty to lose weight though. Carbs are cheap and highly addicting. Poverty often brings a high bmi but poor nutrition.
And cheap oil is bad for the US oil industry and US energy independence. Under ~$3 a barrel and our fracked oil fields become unprofitable. Something like ¾ of Texas’ oil fields were closed in the first year or so after covid and most fracked wells suffer damage from closing process and can’t be re-opened. Putin intentionally kept production high during Covid, causing the prices to plummet more, to damage the US oil industry as we’d become the world’s top producer.
Heck the stupid XL pipeline not being available keeps prices low for the US Midwest because Canada is forced to sell crude at a discount to US midwest refineries. But Republicans repeat the Koch brothers promoted, well-rehearsed lies that that somehow that pipeline allowing Canada to get their crude to refineries on the Texas coast and sell on a world market would lower gas prices.
The difference though is the most important. We can change our minds and vote someone else in after Biden. If we elect Trump he will do his best to completely dismantle our democracy, something he almost accomplished the first time.
You can hear the first VP debate question… “How did you feel the first time you heard Trump say 'I just grab ‘em by the pussy!’ ?”
Not if it’s Arabian.
What way do you think the Dems would use this?
The 7 Countries Study, upon which the hypothesis that saturated fat causes heart disease was based, has been proven to be highly flawed and misleading. Ancel Keys intentionally left out the data from many countries that contradicted his claims. During the last 20 years many studies have come out showing there’s no correlation between saturated fat and heart disease, and pretty weak association between high LDL and heart disease. Obesity, insulin resistance and systemic inflamation are much higher predictors. And there’s a lot of information to suggest seed oils - canola and soy bean oils especially - are quite harmful.
You lost the ability to enjoy it forever, and that’s what the language at time of sale said you’d have.
That’s not steroids… that guy literally injected oil - synthol - into his muscles to make them look ridiculously large. It’s not performance enhancing in any way.
But we the public may pay the price. A prolonged government shutdown won’t resolve itself positively. Having an angry, unreasonable Rep in charge could be a disaster for the country, and there’s no telling who’ll cave in first in such a horrible game of chicken. I’d bet the Dems and if so, it won’t be good for the country.
Do you think Johnson was an improvement? Do you think his replacement will be?
I wonder if those prior medical terms had precise definitions. Obese is BMI >= 30 and morbidly obese is >= 40. BMI itself has some issues but works ok as a general assessment for most people.
