My mom and I are German, though at that point in time I didn’t even have any relation to Germany at all, other than having a German passport. It was nice growing up in Amsterdam, but some people just really, really hated the Germans. I just remember my Dutch teacher, Vincent Koetsier, who talked about a tragic accident in which a bus full of tourists drove off a cliff or something and everyone on board was dead. After a couple of seconds of silence he just went “fortunately most of them were Germans” just to top it off with a classy “gore rotmoffen”. He knew my mom and I were German.

The good thing about this is, that the younger generations and my classmates were shocked by his behavior and reported him. He never returned to school after that day.

But yeah, our car had a German license plate in the first year of living there. I stopped counting the amount of times our windows were broken.

The 90s were crazy. Still loved it and I truly miss the Netherlands.

Yup. I sometimes travel (or travelled for that matter… I’m not going back to that shit hole) to the US and basically everyone there is living an act. It’s so weird and artificial and it all boils down to an “I’m the best and deserve everything, all the others can go fuck themselves” attitude. This is highly toxic and can easily lead to violence. Pair that with how they breathe the most toxic form of capitalism and you have a recipe for the shit show that is the USA. I’m really sorry for all the cool guys over there. Nah, a lot of them are useless. I see it at work. Many of them are incapable of making a quick phone call when they need something. They just don’t understand that people prioritize answers for people they actually know. You don’t get to know people via texting.

I don’t know… While this certainly has made a comeback in the last couple of years (thanks to rise of fucking Nazi shits all over the world), there has been a positive development.

I actually believe it has more to do with the ever increasing “efficiency” at work and addictive media (YouTube, social media, Netflix, etc.). People just don’t have time for sex anymore, because there are quicker ways to get your dopamine fixed. This is also why people don’t go out and socialize anymore. Social media is actually very antisocial.

How old are, if I may ask? I haven’t made a whole bunch of new friends for quite some time now, but that’s fairly normal once you’ve become a wageslave. I just don’t have the mental strength for the upkeep of new friendships.

Magic the Gathering is on the rise again, through which I could at least maintain some meetings with cool colleagues from work. So that’s cool I guess.

I honestly believe the Fediverse is a good place, exactly because it’s slightly less accessible than mainstream stuff. It keeps the absolute scum of the earth out. The internet turned to shit once everyone all of a sudden could access it. It was a fun place to be when you actually had to know your way around a computer. Now the internet essentially is an app on the fucking phone and even the dumbest mouth breather can access it.

I get how this is fair, but not in a world where young people are brought up by fucking tablets and smartphones. This is on the parents, mind you.
