I mean technically, since we don’t exist in a deterministic universe, we don’t have a predetermined fate either, the concept of destiny or fate is a cope by itself. It’s debatable that free will exists either. Perhaps neither fate nor free will exists, and everything is just a roll of the quantum die… Hopefully it’s a D20.
Also maybe there’s some concept currently beyond human comprehension that makes it so that a probabilistic universe, deterministic universe and free will can paradoxically work all together.

When it comes to privacy and anonymity Monero would be king. The FBI and NSA has demonstrated that Bitcoin is not as “private” as many claims.
Don’t get me wrong, if they actually researched and were educated in the subject, I’d have no issue with people taking a risk in investing in something like crypto, but the fact remains many Americans are ill suited and uneducated when it comes to finance, investing, and technology. Plenty of people have played and deal in a manner that is similar to speculation and or gambling when it comes to crypto, buy in, and are equally fucked because of it. Not too mention the various influencers who take advantage of their audience and really fuck them over in pump and dump schemes.
I feel sad for a lot of people in crypto. There’s a certain sense or feeling of disenfranchisement among the American people, which is how people like Trump gain favor in society. Trump promises you everything and lies about all he takes away. He’s seen after all as some “alternative to the establishment”, an establishment that has exploited and fucked over the people over and over again. In a sense, this disenfanchisement, economic disenfranchisement affects people into crypto. Never underestimate the power that poverty and economic hardship has in making desperate people delusional.
The shooter was supposedly a fan of history, a history buff. Let’s assume the meme about men thinking about the Roman empire was true. The guy might’ve been a fan of democracy, looked at the fate of the Roman republic, saw the writing on the wall, and decided that he wanted to prevent that, and also make history in some way too.

The “Han Chinese” ethnic category is actually a lot less secure in its definition than one would think. Not defending the Chinese government, far from it actually. The CCP has a vested interest in promoting a unitary ethnic identity in the idea of “Han Chinese”.
Despite that though, strong identities often tied to the various unique cultural differences and “dialects”(modern day linguists often consider alot of these “Han Chinese” dialects as really, distinct languages with unique and sometimes mutually unintelligible phonetic differences, with the caveat being somewhat similar grammar, tied together through a common logographic script and considered part of a broader family tree of sinitic languages), survive despite that.
It’s why overseas Chinese who sequester themselves in various Chinese communities, oftentimes identify as “Cantonese” or “Teochew” and other terms that, although tied to this greater “idea” of “Han Chinese”, they think to be distinct from one another.
Like they were their own ethnic groups.
“Han Chinese” is, at least I think, an idea closer to pan-ethnicity, than it is it’s own ethnicity.
When it comes to the Chinese language, the main “dialect” is mandarin, and the CCP has done a good job in slowly eradicating other “dialects”(languages). With one of their strategies being, well, classifying as many sinitic languages as possible as, “dialects”. The loss of these “dialects”, these languages, are tragic.

The most likely thing that will happen is the rich renouncing citizenship and leaving the country.
Ehh, because revolution is insanely hard, while something more directed with a single goal is possibly more feasible. That’s what I’m thinking.
