Don’t forget French’s crispy fried onions.
Don’t forget French’s crispy fried onions.
Nice! I caught one in the morning once.
It is at sunset but I think the term is due to them appearing opposite of the sun. This pic was taken facing East with the sun setting in the West.
Crepuscular rays are a thing too but appear in the same direction as the sun.
Didn’t think of that but damn you’re right!
Me: Had to google Quilcene River
Also me: Born and lived in WA for 28 years
Heres one I found that looks similar:
There are quite a few different ones out there across the globe. Pretty interesting.
99% sure that’s a fly mimicking a bee, not a real bee. Bees have 4 wings and tuck them in when at rest.
That makes this fetish even weirder.
I’ve come to learn there are two varieties. One that stays short and one that grows taller. There are quite a few in the neighborhood with long stalks/trunks maybe four or five feet high. Both types look the same to me aside from their height. Mine is maybe three feet and It’s been like that for the 13 years we’ve been here.
It only grows one set per year. I swear It’s only grown a few inches in the last decade. Very prehistoric.
We had something similar in Washington state, wild strawberries. They tasted amazing but were not easy to find.
Ah Graham, ok. Slightly different perspective than I’m used to.
Where was this taken from?
Ok, you have to try them with President brand butter. It’s a cultured butter from France. It’s the most buttery tasting butter my tastebuds have ever tasted. It’s all I buy now.
I’ve seen it at Publix and Walmart. If you can find it give it a try. It’s better than Kerrygold.
