‘I gotta plan Arthur’
I bought my Fairphone 3 at the start of 2020. I love it. I love the fact I can dissamble it with the provided screwdriver in two minutes.
I love that I can buy replacement parts for it if anything breaks without having to get some kind of expensive repair from Apple or Samsung. Ive replaced the charging port on this phone and I’ll be replacing the battery soon too. Giving people the ability to fix and maintain their own devices is fantastic.
I am hoping to get a decade out of this device and I’m nearing 4 years with no complaints so far. I’m a little bit dissapointed they got rid of the headphone jack on the Fairphone 4. While you can get adapters etc, it shouldn’t be necessary imo. That alone is my biggest gripe with that device. Aside from that though, they make great devices and I highly reccomend them
It should spark backlash everywhere. Not just France ffs
With Louis Rossman, sometimes I dont find his videos very interesting. But every now and again he will drop a bombshell that sends waves throughout the industry, and for that, I respect him immensely.
Outside of his YouTube stuff, the way hes so vocal about Right to Repair too. I think its awesome. More power to him.
Unfettered Capitalism breeds emshitification.
Why build and keep a great product when shareholders will always push for more growth and higher revenue. Even if that means laying off your best devs and pissing off users.
Yes they do
Oh for fuck sake.
Fuck Google. I used Waze since it didnt need a Google account and was still reasonably popular in my area.
If I have to use a Google account for this shit, I dont know what I’d do.
My heart weeps for them

Yeah despite the decent reviews, the always online requirement, plus the fact it is not on Steam, so playing it on Steam Deck will be a pain, mean its a no from me.
Guess I’m not missing much by the looks of things lol
I hope they beat the shit out of each other and dont pull their punches
Honestly, headphone jacks are number 1.
Then also, FM radios. Most Android phones had them up until a few years ago, when Apple stopped shipping iphones with the feature, to push more people onto iTunes. I’m not a huge radio listener. But having the functionality during an emergency is invaluable. There was a really bad storm in my country a few years ago. Me and my family had no power and no internet for nearly a week. I would listen to my battery powered radio to get weather updates and to find out what the situation was like elsewhere. I don’t understand why that same functionality can’t be implemented in phones.
Besides that, removable batteries, sim card and SD card slots.
To the moon!!

Feeder is a great RSS app on Android as well. I even use it for YouTube subscriptions
Crazy that /r/AnimeTitties came along to fill that void lol
The picture has Centra brand products. Centra is a chain of Irish convenience stores with a bunch of own brand products.
Also OP mentions being Irish on their profile
