I agree I’m pretty pissy and numb to the former reddit and now lemmy crowd. It’s all just bitching that everything should be free without looking into the reality of costs (among others off topic topics). I want a decentralized network to happen but I am 100% expecting the community to fuck it up.

I used the keg+arcade in an old office frequently enough at a chill small company. It goes both ways IMO.

Easily one of the most powerful scaffolding and learning tool I’ve used in 25 years. Our developers embracing it are more efficient then ever and passing static analysis, owasp scans, coding standards just fine if not better than cranky old devs who think they couldn’t possibly be helped by a dumb machine.

Nothing. DDoS mitigation is inherently an ISP or someone like cloudflare. You will not have success against anybody who knows what they are doing without their help.
I could also get hot by lightning there times a day but I don’t optimize for it. This is a lol and definitely points back to how shitty personal servers may be. I for one hope a .org starts a monitizartion scheme, deals with the privacy issues this community blatantly ignores, and hires some professionals who actually know what they are doing.
You can do whatever the heck you want. Successful communities are rarely successful at scale without funding. Debian, RHEL, C, Rust, Go, Apache, Nginx, Ruby, JS, etc all have a considerable commercial backing. Nothing tells me anyone had a viable long term plan for ensuring privacy and stability.
