  • People don’t typically do dragons well in general tbh. Even when dragons are secondary to the plot, opting for wyverns the no-armed beasts and calling them dragons. It sort of hurts me inside.

But I agree I want more genuine dragons in my media.

(Side note, I haven’t read the OP as to not spoil myself so for all I know OP could be arguing the same thing so sorry for the redundant point if that’s the case.)

  • 😱 😱 😱 No way! Thank you so much for letting me know! Oh my god, you can check the subreddit, I posted something requesting the dev to make a Lemmy client and everyone told me they wouldn’t do it. You’re an amazing person. I hope you sleep on the cool and comfortable side of the pillow tonight.

Edit: I may have jumped the gun a little on that last one, but taking a second look at the github, I don’t see anything that says it’s coming to Lemmy. Unless Everything is a Lemmy/Mastadon instance that I don’t know about.

  • Dunno honestly, I think I just want the feel of Infinity back. The customizability, the fluidity. I’ve been back and forth between Jerboa and Liftoff for about an hour now and can safely say that they both actually hit pretty close. Now I just need the easy of finding what I’m looking for in the app whether it be searching for a community or a specific post.

Something odd I’ve noticed is that Liftoff doesn’t seem to have a notification center? Quite strange seeing how that’s an integral part of the social experience. Early days I suppose.

  • I sure as hell hope so. After everything that’s happened over at Reddit I don’t feel like going back. I’m not one to come back to an abusive relationship ya know? So like yeah I hope Lemmy lasts it seems to hold up well against the Sands of time at the very least, if it lasts as long as Reddit and things go south instead of having to jump ship, you can just migrate servers. Plus, at least at this point in time, there have been no red flags, all we need is for the userbase to participate.

    Edit: Typo
