How would Russia benefit from attacking Chernobyl?
Russia has consistently applied wanton violence as a tool in this war. This is a threat to Ukraine: take a bad deal or things can get worse for you.

Russia should have thought of that before they invaded in 2014 and invaded later again in 2022. Actions have consequences and Russia’s actions have been disastrous to Russians.
Why would one person, one SSN ever have two different birth dates? That sounds like an issue all onto itself.
The Swiss government on Wednesday proposed relaxing restrictions on arms exports to try to bolster its domestic industry and security policy
Their arms export market collapsed three years ago when everyone learned you can’t use Swiss arms in a war. They completely fucked themselves and it is funny they are just now proposing to fix it (a process which will probably take awhile yet).
Meanwhile US, French, and South Korean arms sales are through the roof as everyone is rearming as fast as possible.
Edit: Whoops, double posted. Internet is being poopy today apparently.
I doubt they are broadcasting anything live anyway, they could just download the SIM card when it gets back to base
These are suicide drones. They ram into the target and explode to create casualties. There is no ‘going back to base’. Everything they do is broadcast live as that is how they are controlled by the FPV pilot. Whatever poor signal they get through Russian jamming and ground interference is what there is.
With what signal are you going to transmit that detail? You can see the signal is not transmitting everything as-is.
About 300 North Koreans were killed and 2,700 wounded
North Korea sent 10,000 troops. The stated 30% loss rate means the units are combat ineffective. The only real choices are to withdraw or send more.
That’s standard for FPV drone videos. Ground interference reduces the signal in the last second, and you aren’t putting 4k cameras on the one-time-use drones that get poor and EWed signal to start with. Link one has many faces seen, link two even also has a closeup at 4:27. The interviews are also full of closeups in high res.
You can choose to ignore the combat footage of North Koreans soldiers dying for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, you can ignore the interviews of captured North Koreans in Ukraine, you can ignore the intel reports from the US, Ukraine, and South Korea if you want. You can choose to believe whatever you want.
Sure do. Content warning, it’s combat footage:
And here is a link to some interviews of captured North Korean soldiers:
Yep! I think the more-rigorous version of Betteridge’s law is: Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by discarding the insinuation in the question.
Ukraine captured and publicly interviewed a pair of them.
There is publicly available combat footage of North Korean assaults beaten back with drones.
The answer is a resounding: yes, they were demonstrably there helping with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Specifically in the Kursk region.
That’s cute, coming from the country currently invading and attempting to annex huge swaths of Ukraine.

Bringing in additional American military support now, getting American development dollars later, adding local Ukrainian jobs, all in exchange for additional Ukrainian tax revenues from mined minerals sounds like a win-win-win-win.
Dow…drop…450 points
That’s 1%. Which means we are pretty much at a wash for the last week. Pretty minimal.
The article even mentions specifically the Dow Jones and S&P 500. Both of which are up this week by amounts that completely offset those future losses. I honestly have no clue what the article is talking about, it doesn’t seem to conform with trivial-to-search reality. We are just where we were last week, a place that is massively up over any notable time period before.
If you self host
It’s always fun to host a private game with your friends and tell them to just go to myname.whatever rather than listing out a full IP.
Russia shouldn’t worry about a US missile defense system. Assuming Russia isn’t planning on shooting missiles at the US.
I think you want a normal laptop with a software that makes the screen black and white.
