I thought the rules were changed to allow this? I don’t remember the specifics but I remember being irritated that we were allowing them to keep their tax exempt status but also allowing them to get involved in politics…

Yes yes Trump is absolutely an issue, but it’s propaganda outlets that are ruining the country. I have no solution to that problem. It’s important to have a free press, but they are 100% taking advantage of that.

They stupidly set the stage for people like Trump, but they think they’re just doing R vs D shit so they can get their asshole of choice into power. Well the people tend to get more crazy than anyone would prefer so you open the door for them and you have no control over who enters.

It’s looking more and more depressing on that front too…

Apparently we’re discovering that our type of star system with its long periods of stability and lack of local disruptive bodies is incredibly, incredibly, rare… There are a (literal) astronomical amount of systems out there so there’s no way we’re the only one with life, but it’s really looking like there could only be a “handful” of others out there :/

While true, my theory is that they might also want something else. I use a plate and sometimes she’ll just beg for more anyway even if half of what I gave her is still in the bowl, I’ll give her a tiny bit of something else and she’ll go eat that instead lol

I think he would have had to be convicted of that. Even though it’s exactly what he did, he hasn’t been convicted of anything really. The only shit that ever sticks with him are low stakes civil cases he can just throw money at…

But what about Bitwarden? What you say about the breach is exactly what I’m worried about when having ONE source that has EVERY password. At least now I have different passwords for different sites so only one can be affected, it’s just a pain in the ass to have to go look them up. I save a portion of my passwords with cryptic messages that only I understand.

I can’t think of anything that hasn’t been hacked, I feel like it’s just a matter of time before these password sites are too if they haven’t already. :/

The problem is that people were NOT being treated equally and so we had to try to force institutions to accept people they’d otherwise discriminate against. This isn’t going to bring any equality, we’re going to go back to marginalized groups and historically discriminated groups being left out again and rich white people will be back “on top.”

I say this as a white guy with all the advantages society gives me so I’m not some rando asking for a leg up on anyone. It’s not about me.

Are we talking about only the plain substance, not allowing for spices? Because I feel like every food isn’t delicious unless you season it in some way, or at least use an oil in cooking. If we’re just talking about baking everything then I’d say everything is “bland” Lol

For me it’s all about how you prepare the food. I eat chicken, canned beans, and mushrooms pretty much all the time because I try to buy cheap as much as I can, but just those few main items can be made so many different delicious ways with other “smaller/lesser” ingredients.

But isn’t reddit still a private company? They don’t have shareholders in that case right? They WANT shareholders which is why they’re pulling this b.s to appear profitable when they go public. I think this is just plain old greed.
