El asesor de Red Bull, Helmut Marko, ha avisado que el ascenso de Liam Lawson del rol de piloto reserva a piloto oficial podría ocurrir rápidamente. El neozelandés es un claro candidato al asiento de AlphaTauri para 2024 y tanto Yuki Tsunoda, como, sobre todo, Daniel Ricciardo podrían estar en peligro.
His performance hasn’t been great? We’ve basically seen nothing from him yet, there’s not enough data to say that. In my opinion he had fine races in the AT. And I don’t think the crash was his fault. He didn’t see Piastri there until it was too late, and then he did the only thing he could’ve done: crash into the wall instead of crashing into Piastri.
Don’t get me wrong though, he’s definitely is at risk if he fails to deliver. Now that Lawson has shown what he can do, AT/RB are under pressure to give him a place in F1. And if Ricciardo under-performs in the coming races then I definitely see them putting Lawson in that car next year.
