Those close toĀ Donald Trump fear the former president ā€œmay have legit PTSDā€ from the assassination attempt at a Pennsylvania rally last month.

Thatā€™s according to aĀ Vanity FairĀ report published Wednesday that claimed those in Trumpā€™s inner circle have noticed that heā€™s become fixated on a seven-second clip that shows the moment he nearly lost his life.

ā€œHeā€™s been watching that seven-second clip of how close he was to getting shot right in the headā€”over and over and over again,ā€ said a Republican close to the campaign, reportedĀ Vanity Fair.

I canā€™t stand the guy, but PTSD can manifest in several different ways. Iā€™m willing to bet obsessing over the event is one of those ways

Edit: it could also just be ā€œpost traumatic stressā€ without it being a disorder. Iā€™m not a professional and I donā€™t know trump personally, but I would like to warn against telling people this isnā€™t what PTSD looks like because someone might not seek treatment due to misunderstanding their affliction

It is but what other symptoms does he have? And will he have them months from now? Itā€™s absolutely normal to obsess over a near death experience in the short term.

I donā€™t think itā€™s normal to seek it out and relive it, though.

It is. Like the other symptoms itā€™s a problem if it persists or gets in the way of other things.
