When special counsel Jack Smith criminally charged Donald Trump this month for attempting to overturn the 2020 election, the indictment referenced six unnamed co-conspiratorsā€”five of whom are identifiableā€”who aided the ex-presidentā€™s plot to stay in power, i.e. break the law. Why Smith chose not to charge these individuals is unclear; while itā€™s possible that the prosecutor only targeted Trump to expedite the case, itā€™s also plausible that he did so as part of a strategy to get them to cooperate and become government witnesses against the former guy. And according to a new report, it seems like at least some of these people might be willing to talk to save themselves.

Oh thatā€™s going to be a very tightly kept secret until they back Trump into a corner. Itā€™s all educated guesses. If I had to bet money, outer circle person would be Sidney Powell. Inner circle? Rudy Giuliani has always been rat so him jumping ship is 100% on his character.

Edit: sorry didnā€™t fully answer your questionā€¦ The evidence for a grand jury to bring charges has to be concrete to go forward. Like the evidence that Trump directed individuals to do things. Only a few people were in the room during those conversations. So that to be presented as evidence means itā€™s first hand info. Other findings couldnā€™t have been found without the DA knowing exactly where to look. Meaning someone told them it was there. Very few people would have the access and knowledge to pass that information on.

Powell and Giuliani are both indicted in GA. Being said, it both makes sense for them to do and would be wildly entertaining to watch, so hereā€™s hoping šŸ¤ž šŸ¤ž šŸ¤ž
