A group of Muslim leaders in swing states are rightly using their electoral power with the #AbandonBiden campaign. They are not so frightened of a Trump presidency that they have allowed themselves to vote for the man who through his proxy Israel has killed some 24,000 people in Gaza and despite phony claims of “working behind the scenes” shows no inclination to change policy and save lives.

Refuse to listen to what? What if I agree with what you say? You saying it changes nothing. It is a stupid, strategic misstep where we all lose because all it succeeds in doing is to get people to stay home.

Because not presenting a unified front is how you actually lose. Feeding into the apathy that (if you are to be believed) already exists, is going to help guarantee the worst possible outcome, not instantly transform the political landscape shitshow into your utopia. It’s going to be February of the election year and nobody else has emerged, neither DNC nor third party. What the hell are you or anyone else going to do about this that won’t simply throw the match and let the fascists win?

You’re acting like Biden is unilaterally responsible for the Israeli government’s actions. He’s not fucking God, it would behoove everyone to stop pretending he is. Bibi is hell-bent on an apparent Israeli imperative to avenge genocide with genocide. The US cannot stop it. Only Israel can. International relations (thank dog) is not like the flashy whizbang news-friendly soundbite discourse of domestic politics. You need to step lightly. The recent ICJ ruling is a good first step, and will put the US in a better position to oppose the atrocities in Gaza more forcefully.

Again, international relations isn’t your made-for-social-media bullshit. Things take time, and he cannot come out swinging against a very strategic ally in a very volatile region of the world. I never said he was powerless, I said he was not solely responsible, and that it takes time to effect change in the sphere of international relations. Continue to live in your fantasy world, you will continue to be disappointed. My only worry is that you are going to help really screw the pooch for the rest of us. Take your head out of your ass.

What are you going to do in November? You said you’re not staying home. Are you going to vote for Biden, vote for Trump, or vote for Trump with more steps?

I don’t expect perfection, but maybe bypassing our democratic processes in order to provide hundreds of millions of dollars worth of weapons to the people perpetrating the genocide wasn’t the best look if he’s going for “I’m in a tough situation, I have to balance our strategic allies”.
