I have the G Stylus 2024 and it has been a great phone. Moto’s update policy is the main hindrance, with screen brightness a close second. It looks like the screen is better in the new one and twice as bright. I bet the battery life will fall a bit, especially at peak. The update thing does not concern me much in this price range, as I change phones about every 1.5 years, sometimes yearly.

Does Motorola have good software for the pen? Interesting functionality baked in?

The Stylus 2024 is an excellent phone, coming from Samsung. It was on sale for $250 last year, which was great. I doubt I’ll go back to flagships, tbh. This phone feels nearly as fast as flagships in everyday usage. The only slow part is editing screen recordings or videos, which I seldom do anyways. The headphone jack and microSD card is really nice and surprisingly useful.

I got one of these for free with my phone plan. It seems neat but I already had a phone I liked. I would probably switch to it if it were smaller and had a Lineage OS release for it

i do miss the stylus (and removable battery, and microSd) from the Note series, but not enough to give up control over my phone’s OS.

Maybe if they catch on, we can have a pixel with a stylus.
