Picked a bad day to wear a white shirt.
“Is it the party that chose to run a platform on apathy and genocide that are to blame for losing the election?"
Who would you have rather voted for?
This kind of idiocy is why we have a literal genocide enabling rapist and (probable) pedophile in the whitehouse riding roughshod over the constitution while Congress and the Supreme Court packed full of his shitbird lackeys cheer him on from the sidelines.
We need a corporate death penalty. If corporations are people, we should be be able to charge them like people. Well-Fargo scammed over a hundred million dollars from their customers. I see no reason why they can’t be in a corporate jail, where damaged parties are paid out first, then the customers, then the employees, then the executives, and if there is anything left, let the investors have it.
Same for Equifax, they lost literally everyone’s personal data after collecting and selling it without their consent. If I did something like that, I would get multiple life sentences. The company and its assets should be liquidated, and the money generated should be used to setup a Identify Theft taskforce proactively checks for identity theft on affected individuals and pays out 100% if they are damaged by Equifax’s actions.
If you’re hurtling towards disaster, shouldn’t you try the brakes even if you think they aren’t going to work? We can’t move the United States to the left as long as far right authoritarians are being voted into office. Once some stability is established, we can start working towards more progressive policies. If given the chance between voting for the right and voting for the centrist, I’m going to pick the centrist every time. The only alternative is violence, which is a last resort in my mind (and we’re getting awfully fucking close).
I wouldn’t vote for him in the primary, but if he was the option in the general, I’d vote for him. Compromise is inherent to democracy.
The other thing we should learn is that primaries matter. Primaries are where you vote for the person you want, general elections are where you vote against the one you don’t.
You should read and try to understand the whole thread before you reply to it, otherwise you’ll miss important context.
Anyone But Trump, 2028
Oh, you must have just been born, or woken up from an 8 year long coma…
Anyway. Donald Trump has become the president… twice, and each time he was running against someone who was notably, not trump.
If we’ve learned anything from 2024, it’s that this won’t fly… Sign needs to say “Looking for Unicorn to run for President, otherwise we’ll get trump again”
The classic “I never thought Leopards would eat my face”.
I think online voting is not available in most states. Without looking it up, I think Oregon or Utah is the only state that allows it.
Edit : Most states have it for overseas or for people on military deployment. A handful of states have it for people with disabilities.
Popeyes specifically is more popular with black people…
I don’t know if this is true, but it should be more popular with everyone.
I’m lucky enough to have all 3 nearby.
Popeyes has the best fries, hands down. They should become the standard all other fries are measured against. Their chicken is the best IMHO, but not such a clear standout from Canes. Canes has the best dipping sauce, and that Texas toast is magical on its own. They make a decent cole-slaw too. IMHO their tenders are a little under-seasoned, but they’re very consistent with breading and texture. Bojangles is last on my list. I had them once and was not impressed enough with any aspect of the meal to warrant a second trip.
Ironically, that is pretty much word for word what DJT said about the Central Park 5…
Shit, I’m nearly a 40yr yeast virgin. I’ve never been able to get a bun in an oven, probably because I have no culture.
That…and the other 53% of Republicans have no idea who Epstein is, or they are also implicated in the Epstein files.
I mean, the point I was trying to make is that if you aren’t actively engaged in politics, you won’t know any of those things. Heck, I’m pretty engaged in my local news, taking maybe 15-30 minutes a day to read about local and state issues, and off the top of my head, I couldn’t tell you who my state level rep is, or what they’ve voted for recently. That’s why people don’t vote then out, there is an apathetic disconnect between the politicians vote, and the shitty policies that they support. Hence why people keep actively voting for politicians who undermine and harm them, the people voting can’t be bothered to connect their vote to the policies that are enacted.
Quick, without googling, tell me your state level representative, and give me a summary of their votes on key issues.
I’m thinking heart failure in office, but I bet he goes through 2 or 3 donor hearts before he dies faster than they can get a new one in him.
