It’s why we have trans rights as a social issue in schools first. It’s why they could care less about gun violence in schools. It’s why they are constantly trying to cut funding, putting conspiracy theorists on school boards, and banning books. And on and on.
It’s all about undercutting the public’s perception of public education, so when they try and do a hard steer to private schools people think “it can’t be any worse”. And they run it like Trump University and laugh all the way to the bank, and it’ll take decades to reverse (if ever).
