“A judge flips on a reversal of a lower court injunction to stay a pause of a previously held ruling.”
For fuck sake we’re not all fucking lawyers!
IAAL(BNYL). In very basic terms, here’s what happened:
First court issued a ruling saying Trump admin can’t fire everyone.
Appeals court said Trump admin didn’t need to follow the first court ruling (at this time).
Trump admin tried to fire everyone.
Appeals court has now come back and said Trump admin does need to follow first court ruling.
Result: Trump admin is (legally) barred from firing everyone (for now).
The amount of flip flopping, technicalities, and multi-front nonsense attacks is making this increasingly hard to keep up with or parse.
Thank you VERY much for translating this shit into “burned out regular dumbass”-ese.
The amount of flip flopping, technicalities, and multi-front nonsense attacks is making this increasingly hard to keep up with or parse.
That is exactly the point.
Seriously, thank you very much for the translation. Legalese it such a dumb thing to have to read through.
Thanks. That hurt my head.
🙏
Simple, they’re just not not undoing the reversal of ruling.
Interesting. Could it be that it looks (to those in positions higher up) that Trump is loosing his hold on power? That would explain why articles if impeachment are coming out now.
We should have mass protests now that the region looks weak.
