Summary

Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz of Indiana announced she won’t participate in the House Republican Conference or committees during her next term due to her party’s reluctance to make significant changes.

Spartz plans to collaborate with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy on Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency.

Her decision comes as Republicans face slim majorities in Congress.

This decision could leave Spartz out of legislative discussions and priorities led by House Republicans in the next Congress.

So a congresswoman is going to work with a currently non-existent department that can only wield power if granted by congress… to avoid congress?

It’s a very smart move, all the people say it’s the smartest. I hope her colleagues see how 4D chess this move is and do the same.

I mean, if she hinders congress by not working with the republicans caucus and nothing gets done she can point at the caucus and say “I didn’t want to work with them, because they can’t get anything done.” It’s right out of the standard republican playbook, it’s just interesting to see it used on themselves from within. A real “we trained leopards to eat faces” moment

This ouroboros happens every single time fascists take power. They need to be in constant conflict, partially because they always have to be right.
