It will! Trump will assume office, remove any restrictions on Israel, every palestinian will be killed or exiled, and the Gaza problem will finally be solved. A final solution, if you will.

Replace Israel with Russia and Gaza and Palestinians with Ukraine and Ukrainians and that will be how he also plans to “end” the war in Ukraine.

Simply the bigliest and best negotiator

During elections are one of the few times where public pressure can push our representatives toward policies that reflect the will of their constituents. The sentiment that demanding more from your representatives is tantamount to voting for the opposition, is a reactionary position. These are anti-genocide protestors advocating for the Democratic Administration to stop supporting and arming am ongoing genocide. This is not an unreasonable position. Demanding more from your representatives is fundamental to a functional democracy.

The overt fascism of the Republican party during this election cycle has galvanized the Democratic party to be more representative, and hopefully that continues on issues like Palestine and Immigration. Those will be critical for some of the critical swing states. The Uncommitted Movement is hundreds of thousands strong in Michigan. There are similar movements in Chicago and other states, all gaining momentum. These are committed Democratic voters, applying pressure to the administration that is supposed to represent them.

Trump is currently running as if he’s the peace ticket, not because he actually is but because it’s a good way to grab votes. The Democrats need to be the genuine peace ticket, for their own benefit and the relief of Palestinians trying to survive this genocide.

The point isn’t that not voting for harris is really an option. the point is to actually encourage the party to do the right thing. Least so far the “uncommited” group has been on the elections that dont’ matter, the polls etc…

Point is you need some level of power. You don’t exactly have a bargaining position when you walk up to the officials and say “stop killing people or I’ll vote for you anyway”. I mean I get it, we live in a fake democracy… we’re given the choice of someone who’s bad on the issue, or someone who’s worse on the issue.

Honestly on the whole I applaud Harris, she’s actually at least paying lip service to hearing people out, and pushing for a cease fire. It’s the least you can do, but it’s more than biden did, and there’s at least an inkling of hope she’ll actually follow it up.

Genocide advocates are so one-note. It’s clear from your comment that you didn’t even think about reading the article.
