Steam has plenty of competition. GOG, Epic, and others. Apple has no legs to stand on. Steam may be the largest, but they were there first.

Everyone hated Steam when it launched. They’ve quietly just chugged along, making minor improvements.

Everyone else who’s come and gone shot themselves in their own foot.

That’s bullshit. The App Store created a race to the bottom and stifled new software by obliterating the market for good paid apps.
