    A crowd of Arab Americans protested Wednesday night inside a Dearborn high school against President Joe Biden’s scheduled Thursday visit to Michigan, urging people not to vote for him because of his support for Israel’s attacks in Gaza.

    I get it. It’s disgusting that this nation is supporting genocide of Palestinians. They have a right to be angry and I hope this and what everyone else is doing moves the needle for Biden.

    But I’ll be fucked if I allow Trump back in office. Republicans will waste no time swinging the wrecking ball.

    So this group is thinking that Trump will provide greater levels of support to these groups? I kinda remember Trump having a different direction than support for those groups.

      We’d hope people aren’t delusional enough to opt for neoFuhrer over Biden’s spineless support of Israel on this, but there are too many sound bite voters in today’s world, so it’s a bit disconcerting.

        Not if you live in America, you can write in your vote for anyone you want. But it’s America so the two major parties each nominate one person and then most people choose between those two people and usually one becomes president. Donald Trump and Joe Biden are the current likely nominees from the two major parties. Some people do the write in thing and usually the person they write in is not elected president. It’s not a great system but that’s the one in America for the 2024 election.

            Exactly! Sorry I used the word likely instead of presumptive. As for the other parties, people can vote for their candidates too but like the write ins, they usually don’t win.

                It’s how the system is set up.

                It’s legitimately idiotic to vote for someone who isn’t the candidate for the two parties with the way the system is set up, so only idiotic people do it.

                  I’d say it’s idiotic to support the two party system. People in other countries have managed to setup different systems, so its absolutely possible to do things differently than we currently do.

      I suspect those numbers had something to do with the sanctions he just dropped on Israeli settlers. Although I’m honestly surprised it’s that large of a population to be worth going after. Then again, there’s not a lot of undecided to chase in Michigan, so you gotta go where the voters are.

    I bet you anything that the people behind this were conservatives before 10/7 and are just being opportunistic, well that and all of the Russian, Iranian, Turkish, and Qatari propaganda assisting them.

    Edit: I love how any criticism of these protesters gets immediately downvoted, yet you guys criticize supporters of Israel for doing the same thing when they see criticisms of Israel, maybe you guys should realize that you’re both not being very objective and that currently you both suck.
