I feel like they wouldn’t have bothered trying to ruin USPS if this wasn’t their plan all along.
It’s a little bit more than that… In multiple jurisdictions Republicans have passed laws prohibiting counting mail in ballots until after election day.
This is barring them from being counted after election day.
So, really, they just don’t want mail in ballots counted, full stop.
DeJoy is also heavily invested in both fedex and UPS - make no mistake the grift is a big part of it.
I feel like it’s pretty clear that ballots reasonably believed to be mailed before election day should count. Otherwise it’s like saying I can’t vote if I’m not in a booth at the time the polling location closes.
Yes, I know the GOP would prefer one-day-in-person-voting with a crawl over broken glass as the standard.
